VectorFibre connection - incredibly fast, totally secure
Fibre (glass) carries optical signals. Fibre is extremely fast and less susceptible to external interferences than copper cable. Fibre connections also don’t need to ‘repeat’ ie be relayed, so they can travel point to point, across greater distances, which also leads to greater security. A fibre link from your head office to a branch cannot be intercepted (hacked) mid-way.
Copper (a metallic conductor) on the other hand, carries electric signals. This means it is susceptible to interference from external sources. Signals carried electrically may be easier to intercept (hack) than data carried optically.
